Dr. Michael Kintrup advises companies and institutions, particularly in the industrial and technology sectors, on matters of contract and commercial law.

In addition, he advises and represents his clients in complex disputes—whether out of court, in court, or before arbitration tribunals.

As a former competitive athlete, he possesses specialized expertise in the sports and entertainment industry. In this field, he advises sports federations and clubs, athletes, and other key stakeholders on drafting and negotiating industry-specific contracts, as well as on issues related to governance, compliance, and antitrust law.

He regularly advises and represents his clients in sports law disputes.

Michael Kintrup also regularly serves as a referee in this field. He is a member of the Federal Sports Court of the German Handball Federation (DHB), the Referees' Committee of the Women's Handball Bundesliga (HBF), and chairman of the Disciplinary Committee of the German Athletics Association (DLV).

Michael Kintrup is a member of the DIS, the DIS40, the German Association for Sports Law, and the Sports Law Working Group within the DAV.
