Julia Paul has been advising clients for more than 15 years in all areas of public commercial law with a particular focus on EU state aid law and research and development. Her clients include the public sector as well as public and private companies, universities and research institutions.
Julia Paul has extensive experience in the assessment and elimination of EU state aid law risks in existing and planned contracts, including the drafting of entrustment acts, the implementation of the private investor test and the structuring of all types of service/counter-performance relationships in compliance with EU state aid law.
It also regularly reviews contracts in the area of contract and cooperative research for their compatibility with the EU framework for R&D aid.
She is married and has four children.
