Sophia Giannakis advises national and international clients on M&A and corporate law, as well as maritime commercial law. She studied law at the University of Bielefeld, specializing in “European and International Private and Procedural Law.”

Even before she was admitted to Lawyer , she Lawyer several years at international business law firms. There, she advised on domestic and cross-border corporate transactions, corporate restructuring, and other business law matters. In addition, she gained experience in various areas of the public sector.

She furthered her expertise in maritime law by earning a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Maritime Law from the University of Miami School of Law, with a focus on the international shipping, yacht, and cruise industries. She also gained practical experience in the legal department of MSC Cruises LLC, one of the world’s leading cruise lines, where she focused on litigation and transactional matters in the maritime industry.
